How to get to Whitstable
By Plane: By train from the airport Whitstable is 2 hours from Gatwick and 3 hours from Heathrow or Stansted.
By Train: Coming through London trains depart from either London London St Pancreas or London Victoria. Whitstable is a small station on the edge of town, there is a tiny taxi office when you leave the station on the left, but taxi’s are not usually there waiting. The main high street is a 10-15 minute walk if you don’t have lots of luggage.
St Pancreas: Trains also leave approx every 30 mins. You need to change at Faversham (but it is only one stop from Whitstable and the wait is only 10 mins). Newer trains and faster journey compared with Victoria. Can avoid the underground completely if coming from Cambridge!
Victoria: Trains leave approx every 30 mins and go direct to Whitstable, make sure you get in the correct portion of the train, normally last 4 carriages, furthest from the ticket barrier. Best option only if you are coming from near Victoria.
